They may have been in talks a few months back about a possible merger but they’re back at it again, Google Inc and Yahoo are now neck to neck in the image search market with Yahoo improving by leaps and bounds as they improve on their search engine design and capabilities. Google has long been the search engine of choice for a long time mainly due to the speed and capabilities of their search engine and their massive server banks that till recently have been unknown as to their existence(Images were leaked of Google’s vast data centers being housed in 40 footer container vans away from the peering eyes of anybody who may be out to get even or do the company harm).
Google has made headway into other fronts such as the realm of cloud computing which it has been aggressively campaigning for, followed with support for the system by IBM and other industry leaders. The competitiveness of the search engine market continues to be a close race with the two biggest names always out to get at each other, in a good sense of the word.
